Jan. 3, 2009 - Edible

I am from New Orleans. I grew up eating gumbo every holiday--along with tradtional foods, too. When my sister and her family visited over Christams, last year, she insited that I make it. It was such a hit that I made it for New Year. I'll probabaly make it every year. It made my boys (including hubby :) so happy.

  1. Looks great and very edible, like it should be in a magazine with the recipe attached for all to enjoy.

  4. Heard of it but never seen it, looks like a seafood feast, and so good as a photo.

  6. What a beautifully presented dish! You know, you might want to consider printing a page with this photo and your recipe--and tucking it away for your kids to have later in life. I'm sure it would become a real treasure!

  9. Oh my gosh, that looks delicious. And it's a fine photo - I like the way you composed and cropped tightly. What a fine New Year's tradition you've started.
